I am a somatic sexuality coach, educator, mentor, guide, shame whisperer, witness. I do not know more about your body and your sexuality than you do, but I sit with you and move with you as you allow your erotic truth to unfold. Many paths and experiences inform my “work”. I have a masters degree in somatic psychology and a bachelors degree in anthropology which form the backbone; understanding the body and the many bodies of culture, relationship, connection and the many impacts of trauma, shame and disconnection. I am also a trained professional in movement, improvisation and creative arts which supports the spontaneous play and attunement that is part of developing erotic intelligence. I am a bodyworker and have hands on experiential knowledge of the body and touch. And I am trained in somatic sexuality education and sexological bodywork which provides the framework into which everything else is woven. I have always been moved, inspired and curious about who we are as human animals, especially in regards to human sexuality and human connection. As a young person it never seemed to me that the stories I was being told about sex were complete or accurate. It usually seemed as if something was being withheld and hidden. I was the adolescent in 8th grade health class dissatisfied with the meager section on sexuality that was too short, all about plumbing and didn’t mention anything about pleasure. I was the one sent to the office for asking why we hadn’t covered oral sex or masturbation or orgasms. I studied anthropology in my undergraduate work because I was interested in humans through the wider species lens not just the culture specific ways that I had been taught were human universals. I began to connect to my understanding of humans as animals and the wisdom of our animals selves that we work so hard to shake off and cover up in our modern domestication. My graduate work was in Somatic Psychology, bringing the body into my understanding of the human psyche; that there is no distinction between the two. We are amazing when we are allowed and allow ourselves to move freely in our bodies. We are amazing when we have unfettered, direct connection with our true erotic nature unobscured by shame, bodily contraction and cultural trauma. ReWild Eros is an acknowledgement and understanding that we are at our core human primates with an erotic lineage worth giving the space to breathe freely while also understanding that our domesticated overlay cannot simply be brushed aside. When we ReWild Eros, the call is to integrate these parts of ourselves with intention, reverence, gentleness, honoring of our erotic lineage and radical bodily acceptance. ReWild Eros is a consent driven container of somatic erotic mentoring with permission and space to discover who you are as an embodied, fully alive erotic being. All bodies are welcome and included. All bodies are honored and cherished because humans naturally show up in all the ways.
